Eligibility
Who can apply for the award?
The award application is open to all private and public companies in North America who feel their workplace displays leadership and innovation towards engaging their workforce.
What types of companies are eligible for the award?
There are no restrictions on the type of company that can apply for the award, but it must be based in North America.
Can I see a list of the questions in order to determine if we can apply?
You are able to view the Application Questions to prepare before you submit your online application.
Application
Is there a fee to apply?
No, there is no fee to apply.
What is the word limit per question?
Please respond to each question in a maximum of 250 words.
How many entries can I submit for my company?
Each organization may submit one award application.
Once I start the application, can I save my progress and return to it or do I have to do it all at once?
Yes once you sign up you have created a login and can revisit the application at any time up until the deadline of Friday July 13th 2012 at 5:00pm PST.
Can I provide any supplementary materials?
Yes, the online form contains an area for you to upload attachments corresponding to any question in the application.
Will you also accept video submissions to accompany the write up?
Yes, they can be emailed to loren.maisels@achievers or uploaded during the application process where indicated.
What is the application deadline?
Applications must be received by the deadline of July 13th, 2012 at 5:00pm PST.
Judging
Who is the selection committee?
The selection committee is made up of industry thought leaders and experts in the field of engagement. You can read about the judges in detail on the Judging Panel page.
What are the award selection criteria?
Our panel of judges will evaluate each application based on the Eight Elements of Employee Engagement™ Each element will be evaluated and scored for each applicant. For further information please review the Award Criteria section.
Winners
When will the winners be notified?
Winners will be notified on August 20th, 2012 and announced publicly on August 27th, 2012.
Will you contact the applicants who did not win?
Yes, all applicants will be contacted.
What happens if my company wins?
If your company wins, we will contact you on or before August 20th, 2012. The awards will be presented at a gala dinner event. Tickets for the gala will be available for individuals or groups, so please visit the Awards Gala page for dates and ticket information

Gala Dinner
When is the gala dinner?
The Canadian gala dinner will take place on November 14th 2012 in Toronto, Canada.
The U.S. gala will take place on October 25th 2012 in San Francisco, California. Please visit here for more details coming soon.
Why are there two separate dinners?
The Toronto gala dinner will celebrate the Canadian winners, and the U.S. winners will be recognized in San Francisco.
Is the event only open to the award winners?
No, any company can purchase tickets to the event.
How much are tickets?

What if my company won but I can’t attend the event?
An Achievers representative will accept your award on your behalf and it will be sent to you after the event, but it's highly encouraged to attend the gala and join in the festivities to really celebrate your company’s success! Check out highlights from last year’s event by visiting this page

This is the 3rd year for the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces™ Awards.
How many awards will be given out?
We will award the 50 Canadian companies and 50 U.S.-based companies that best showcase their efforts supporting the Eight Elements of Employee Engagement™
