Simone Douglas

Simone is a Principal within the Performance and Reward practice within the Transformation and People function at Telstra. Telstra is Australia’s largest telecommunications company providing solutions including network, pay TV, cloud services, data hosting, cloud, colocation, conferencing & satellite services and has a global footprint with a presence in 18 countries. Simone’s core role is leading the strategy, design and execution of global recognition and employee Benefits programs to ensure high value, quality programs and ROI. The portfolio includes corporate-wide peer to peer recognition program and performance recognition awards and events, all employee benefits plans including health insurance, and retirement plans and rewards offerings. In addition, Simone currently engaged in a cross functional team with a mission to design Telstra’s future People Model to enable Telstra as it significantly transforms as an organisation. 

Prior to Telstra, Simone has had 16 years’ experience in consulting initially with KPMG, and then Mercer. Her experience includes market benchmarking and directional recommendations on remuneration arrangements for Executive and Board, incentive design and broader total rewards strategy and frameworks. She has consulted across a diverse range of clients from large listed and private entities to public sector and government owned enterprises.
