  1. Another good way to help with retention is having a succession pathway in place with the company. When employees have an idea of what position opportunities are available to them in the future, it gives them something to work towards and incentive to stay with your company so that they can move up the ranks. Filling positions by hiring internally this way also saves on recruiting and training costs.
