Rewards and recognition

Super Retail Group (SRG) is a global company with four iconic retail brands (Macpac, Supercheap Auto, Rebel, and BCF) operating in Australia and New Zealand, employing more than 13,000 employees, the majority of whom are on the shop floor without a corporate email address.

Super Retail Group (SRG) is a global company with four iconic retail brands (Macpac, Supercheap Auto, Rebel, and BCF) operating in Australia and New Zealand, employing more than 13,000 employees, the majority of whom are on the shop floor without a corporate email address.

When it was found that only 56% of their geographically dispersed team members felt they were being recognized appropriately for their customer service, SRG engaged Achievers to support them with building an engaged and motivated workforce through employee recognition. SOULmoments, powered by Achievers, was launched to engage and connect all team members across 630+ stores, 7 distribution centres, and 4 support offices.

In the first six months post-program launch, the program generated over 100,000 recognition moments and experienced a three-point uplift on their engagement survey recognition question.

In order to support manager effectiveness and build a culture of recognition at SRG, the Achievers team also delivered a Recognition Masterclass to 400+ retail leaders. As a result of this education program, there was a 77% increase in recognitions being sent month over month following the training.

Within a year of the program launch, SRG’s annual report stated that the investment in employee recognition resulted in a 21% increase in average transaction checkout values at their stores.
