Achievers Welcomes Dr. Natalie Baumgartner as Chief Workforce Scientist
SAN FRANCISCO and TORONTO — September 7, 2017 — Achievers, an industry leading provider of employee recognition and engagement solutions, today announced the appointment of Dr. Natalie Baumgartner to the newly created role of chief workforce scientist. Dr. Baumgartner joined Achievers from RoundPegg, a culture and employee engagement technology company she co-founded; select assets of which were acquired by Achievers.
A well-regarded speaker and thought leader on engagement, culture and organizational transformation, Dr. Baumgartner is an expert in understanding how employee engagement and values alignment can drive strategic business outcomes. She has spent her career advising senior leaders from companies of all sizes—from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 firms—on research and data-driven engagement measurement and management. A TEDxMileHigh Talk she gave exemplifies her passion for helping both leaders and employees understand the crucial role that culture fit has in driving engagement in the workplace.
“RoundPegg and Achievers shared similar mission statements: ‘Change the Way the World Works,’” said Dr. Baumgartner. “What better way to continue my work to help translate engagement research and theory into a cloud-based software solution that makes it possible for organizations to solve problems and advance workforce performance? I’m excited to be part of Achievers, working closely with our product development and customer-facing teams to enhance the employee experience within organizations worldwide.”
“The addition of Dr. Baumgartner to Achievers as our chief workforce scientist strengthens our ability to provide data-driven solutions in employee engagement,” commented Greg Brown, general manager, Achievers. “In a short while, Natalie has already proven to be a great fit here at Achievers and we’re looking forward to the contributions her work will make to our clients, colleagues and partners.”
A mentor at Techstars, Dr. Baumgartner is also a regional co-founder of Culture Lab X, a director on the board of Elevations Credit Union and a board member of the Consulting Psychology division of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Baumgartner holds her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and University of Denver. She is based in Boulder, Colorado.
